The Harder Foundation will invite proposals from organizations working to protect public lands and waters in the following priority places: 

Alaska: South Central and Southeast

Washington: Outer Coast and Olympic Peninsula, and the Columbia Highlands

Oregon: Southwest and Outer Coast

Idaho:  Central Idaho and the High Divide

Montana and Wyoming:  Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, including the High Divide

We focus our resources on places where large public lands have relatively intact ecosystems, high biodiversity with important wildlife and habitat, especially refugia, and places that provide critical ecosystem services to communities.

Limited invitations for grant proposals are also made each year to groups in Florida.
