Proposal Guidelines

We have two grant cycles annually. All proposals must meet the postmark deadline, and must be submitted as hard copy.

If you have been invited to submit a proposal, please review and fill out the Grant Proposal Checklist, and include it with the materials that you are asked to submit.  You can download our Grant Proposal Checklist here.

Our goal in reviewing your proposal is to understand what you aim to do to address the issues you’re concerned with, and how well your organization is positioned to make the changes you seek.  We hope your proposal will describe the problem; give us a picture of the solutions; identify who you’re trying to influence and who else you’re working with; be clear about what outcome you expect; and be realistic about what financial resources are needed.

The Checklist should help guide your proposal to make sure you include all the required information.  If you include everything we need, the review process will be more efficient.

Please contact The Harder Foundation office if you have any questions about our Proposal Submission Guidelines.
